Hydraterra provides innovative BNR treatment design to public school
Increasing attendance at the Manheim Township Elementary School forced the district to consider alternatives to the small, antiquated on-lot–disposal system serving the 1950’s school. High nitrate/nitrogen in the ground water supply and the close proximity of potable water wells challenged the design of a standard system. Hydraterra suggested the use of an extended air type treatment system with the use of a denitrification system to meet the stringent subsurface disposal limits.Â
